Dales run 17th - 18th september

Rachel as far as i am aware speaking to dale up against the hedge as usual also there are a few Fabmoc as well ........ not sure which end of the field top or bottom the marquee will be going re the gates and entry etc ...... if its the bottom great it worked well , less grass / field to trudge through ..... same as last year

Well it rained .......... but we were prepared wellies and brollies in hand ...... Good to catch up with everybody old and new Rachel (get that mini sorted ) Dale (buy a new ground sheet ) a big turn out from both FABMOC and Kendal Mini Club and clubs from Sunderland Tyne and Wear , Manchester furthest travelled Dareham in Norfolk ....

good turn out 50 + the atmosphere on camp was good in between the down pours and i mean down pours ...the £ 120.00 tent from go - outdoors did the biz apart from a few leaks ...we coped quite well ......the treasure hunt turned into a run on saturday for us anyway Wallace and Gromit , Agoaty , Pete J , Mark Feather , Steve ( a newbie / virgin to minis ) and myself .. we fair ripped it up .... good run out ....

plenty of beers in between and fish and chips for tea we ready for bed with the soothing sound of rain yet again

on sunday Wallace and Gromit being the Lead car , Agoaty , Pete J , Mark Feather , Steve not a newbie and defo in the grove and myself .. set off for a brilliant days tanking up and down some new roads well done to all for keeping it tight and so much fun on the run ....

got snapped by a camera in Shipley doing 32 /33 in a 30 zone on the way home .... hey ho ...... i was knackered in bed for 7.00 pm and up at 6.00 am ...........

any way catch up with you all at the next A Series Magpies meet off to wash the mini before Jan gets home from work ......

"Wallace and Gromit being the Lead car" Not so sure about that ... Bad planning ... Jenny would have had everyone's tyres warmed up within the first mile Great fun though !!!

I was thinking of you all when i heard the rain coming down ... Well done for keeping the spirit alive.

3. Wellies ( yes dispite it being my 12th mini Dales run still forgot wellies!!!)


me and the girls did have a good time, Lem, Liv, Jenna & little George were pretty much sorted on camp & in caravan.

We had a trip to Hawes saturday, cheese and crackers for supper!
I went to vist my sister on Sunday girls not up for bouncy roads and on saturday Liv not impressed cos we were the odd ones out in convoy, ha well.

if it is any consulation i forgot my wellies too.... just about dried my hiking shoes out ...... and i thought they were water proof

As most of you know we wimped out on the camping!

A good call I think as it rained all weekend! The ground was saturated from the minute we got there. Luke spun the car wheels parking it up and covered the car in mud. Ah well mud is the same colour as rust...

The treasure hunt was hard again and as Slim said we missed the first few clues so just decided to run around and forget the "treasure".

Went home for tea. Large pizzas all round and back the next morning for briefing and a cup of tea, thanks David and Jenny.

The main run used more main roads than usual in the morning, but after lunch in Skipton it was back to normal on the single track "Mini" roads.

Sorry we weren't more sociable by missing the camping but I never was a fan....

Hi Andy you captured the mud well in the first photo... it brought back a smile looking at the last photo .....
